Reaching out to rookie team 8798 Aluminati Industries from Jacksonville to make sure they are ready for the State Championship. One of their team members used to be on the 4H team FIRE which was part of Tesla League, before they added the new North FL League, now he's on the new team his public school has.

Update - They won a Judges Award for Best Rookie Team at the State Championship!

One of the unexpected things that came out of the Otronicon demo was finding the "missing" Tesla teams. There is a 7th Day Adventist group that participates in an unknown league to Florida. They are competing THIS Saturday in California. We went to the school of 9442 Robo Royalty & 9444 Panthers to help them prepare. GOOD LUCK GUYS!

Ri1W: Just as popular as RI3D!

Another month, another 10,000 views. The view count hasn't slowed down much, every day we are still getting 200-300 views. I wasn't expecting this.

We are now the 3rd most popular video the Robot in 3 Days Youtube Channel has posted, now with more views than the Team Boom Done or O-Ryon who joined for the 2014 Robot in 3 Days! On top of our now near 24,000 views, we also have over 100 thumbs-up, and I believe that same how adds to the probability of being listed as a recommended video.

When I got to a fresh computer which has never been used to search FIRST videos, I went to Youtube and tried searching a few things. "FTC" "Cascade Effect" both had our video as the 2nd from the top recommended video. When I typed "Robot in 1" the search bar automatically populates with "weekend." One note for improvement, we did not come up when i searched "FIRST Tech Challenge"

The Ri3D 1.0 robot in January of 2014 has over 26,000 views; it is looking like Ri1W will overtake that view count in the coming months. Who would have thunk?

Meet 1 - Costume Contest

Had a great time at our first meet of the season. Ended up as the first alliance captain and took home the first place trophy with our alliance partner 7141 Dawgs of Steel. 7477 Super 7 and 7141 made us earn it and we played all 3 matches in finals. For the Think Award, we were the 1st place finalist - finally lost one in Tesla.

Tesla's Practice Meet

Lots of fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Looks like Tesla is in for an awesome season with some tough competitions ahead. It will be a bitter sweet season for us. Due to our league size and not all teams being able to play at the same events now, our complete set of Tesla Think trophies for our Engineering Notebook will end on either 11/1 (our first competition) or 11/8 (the competition for the other half of the league).

Glad to see a couple of teams took advantage of our Recycle & Reuse program.
